Gaya is well connected to Ranchi, Patna, Jamshedpur, Hazaribagh, Raurkela, Varanasi, Kolkata, Kanpur, Allahabad, Delhi and Amritsar. It is well connected with AH1(Asian highways) at dobhi, gaya.
By Rail
Gaya Junction railway station is a junction station serving the city of Gaya, the headquarters of Gaya district and Magadh Division in the Indian state of Bihar. Gaya is in the Mugalsarai Rail Division of the East Central Railway zone. Grand Chord rail-line that connects Howrah and New Delhi passes through Gaya. It lies between Mughalsarai Junction on the Delhi side and Dhanbad Junction on the Howrah side.
The Mahabodhi SF Express (12397) which is a special train and runs between Gaya and Delhi on daily bases. This train is non-stop and just takes 16 hours time to reach Gaya from Delhi.
The Gaya Ms Express – 12389 which is weekly trains and runs from gaya to chennai, which connects southern part of india.
By Air
Gaya district has international airport of its own that is connecting it with the other major Indian cities. Other than Indian cities it is also connected with outer cities like Bangkok, Colombo, Paro and Singapore. Any one who wants to reach Gaya can also get down to Patna airport and reach Gaya hiring a private taxi.
